With the ultimate objective of leveraging ports/ terminal performance, SPS-Stevedoring is a set of modules designed to manage and organize General Cargo stevedoring activities in a port/ terminal.

Planning

The system regulates the work of stevedoring companies' work for a certain visit using a schedule. The planning depends upon the cargo stowage on the vessel which can be viewed from the stowage plan, cargo in manifest, stevedoring products standard rates. Information viewable on the same screen and the decision is approved by the user. The system helps measure the expected date of finishing the stevedoring work. It also regulates the work between companies if more than one company is handling cargo on the same ship.

Products Standard Stevedoring Rates

The system stores the standard stevedoring rates for each product which is assigned by the High Council of Ports to be the reference of the stevedoring company's performance.

Equipment Performance

The system stores the performance rate of stevedoring equipment and also those of vessel cranes accompanied with each visit.

Cargo Stowage Plan

The stowage plan of the imported general cargo is a main factor in the planning procedure. The stowage plan image is stored completely inside the database and archived with the backups.

Planning Stevedoring Equipments

This module enables the stevedoring companies to assign equipments to visits prior to vessel arrival taking into consideration the maintenance plans of that equipment. This feature optimizes time of berthing as the equipment is being prepared before vessel mooring.

Monitoring Actual Stevedore Processes

Actual processes are registered online using wireless RDTs or every interval of time (e.g. every hour) using web forms. This information is being compared against planned time of each stevedoring company to evaluate their performance.
